This policy explains how Tritan Glasses Canada ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit tritanglasses.net or buy from us. If you have any questions, contact us at theteam@tritanglasses.net.
The privacy law that applies
In Canada, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) sets the rules for how businesses handle personal information in the course of commercial activity, and we aim to handle your information in line with it. Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia have their own private-sector privacy laws, and in some cases those apply instead. Privacy questions and requests are handled by our team at theteam@tritanglasses.net.
Information we collect
- When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, any order notes, what you bought, the delivery method you chose, any discount code you used and the amount you paid.
- Payment information: card payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal payments by PayPal, on their own systems. We receive confirmation that the payment went through and a payment reference, never your card details.
- When you contact us: your name, email address and your message, whether you email us or use our contact, wholesale quote or review feedback form.
- When you use the chat assistant: the messages you type into it.
- When you browse: our hosting provider handles your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also records the pages you visit and your device and browser type.
How we use it
We use your information to process, pack and deliver your order and send your order emails; to answer your questions and handle returns and complaints; to prevent fraud and keep the store secure; to improve the site where you have accepted analytics cookies; and to keep the business records the law requires.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the store: Stripe and PayPal (payments), Vercel (hosting and checkout), Supabase (order records), Resend (order emails), the warehouse and courier that pack and deliver your order, Google (analytics, only if you accept, and web fonts), IntellextAI (the chat assistant) and our form system at app-marketing-command-centre.vercel.app (contact, wholesale and feedback forms). We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
Information processed outside Canada
Our company and several of the providers above store or process information outside Canada. While your information is in another country, the courts and authorities there may be able to access it under that country's laws.
Keeping it safe, and for how long
We keep records only as long as we need them for orders, support, legal and security purposes, and we use reasonable safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email theteam@tritanglasses.net. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Your cookie choices are explained on our Cookie Policy page.
